About Merlin's

Merlin’s Old Masters

The Old Masters´ Collection ranges from 16th to the 19th century art and is mainly focused on Old Masters´ prints and drawings from Dutch and other European artists. Merlin’s represents famous artists like Rembrandt, Dürer, Callot, Della Bella a.o. but also many unknown artists. In the selection for the collection both artistic quality and the condition of the artwork are of major importance. If an artwork or artist is not represented in our online catalogue, but you are interested in his work please do not hesitate to contact the gallery.

Merlin’s Contemporary Art

Besides the Old Masters´ collection Merlin´s also specializes in Dutch Contemporary art. The focus in Merlin´s Contemporary Art is on works of art that share visual beauty and intellectual importance. A common aspect of all the Contemporary Art at Merlin’s is that the works are not made for any other reason than its ( intellectual) Necessity. In the work of Olphaert den Otter for example, this necessity results in monumental series. One of the greatest was exhibited in the S&K MORF exhibition in Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam 2008.
